Abstract

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune bullous disorder mostly encountered in the elderly with age of onset more than 60 years and incidence peak in 80s and older. Though it is very rare in children, BP constitutes the second most common acquired immunobullous disease of children, with linear IgA dermatosis being the most common. Clinical, histopathological and immunological features of BP are similar in both adults and children. Herein we report a case of bullous pemphigoid in a 4-month-old infant.
