Eruptive angioma with satellitosis.

Abstract

Case report. An 8-year-old girl was first observed for the presence of multiple angiomas located above or near a scar secondary to surgical removal of a previous mass in the right scapular region. Here 7 months before a reddish nodule had formed and grown in two months up to 1 cm in diameter without bleeding. After 2 months the lesion had been removed with curette and the histologic diagnosis had been juvenile capillary hemangioma. After 1 month the lesion had recurred and thus radically removed with histological confirmation (Fig. 3 and box). 2 weeks later five satellite angiomatous lesions had appeared, the first of which, the most distant from the scar, had reached a diameter of 5 mm in 1 month and then had not further increased (Fig. 1). Dermoscopy (Fig. 2) showed vascular lacunas. We diagnosed satellitosis of eruptive angioma and decided not to re-operate.
