Abstract

Eruptive lobular angioma (pyogenic granuloma) is expression of an angiogenetic response to stimuli usually reported as traumatic or infectious, but rarely documented. 40% of cases occur in the first 12 years. The head, particularly the face, followed by the upper trunk and hands is the most frequently affected site. In most cases, without any evident cause, appears a red dot, which rapidly grows to reach in a few weeks a size of 2-3 mm.
